Changes to Batch 5

  • Grading Permit has been moved to Batch 6. This will go before the Planning Commission on March 15, 2012.
  • Road Cross Section Alternatives has been moved to Batch 6. This will go before the Planning Commission on March 15, 2012.

Clark County regulates development through its Unified Development Code, also known as Title 40. The Board of County Commissioners started an update of the code in 2010.

The Board’s goals for the code revision are to:

  • Revise the code to get better results with less process and complexity.
  • Improve the code to achieve the objectives of the comprehensive growth management plan.
  • Provide staff with discretion and flexibility to help applicants through the development process. Discretion and flexibility should come through the code, interpretation processes, improved trust between the Board of Commissioners and staff, and new management techniques.
  • Complete the code revisions by 2012 with minimal increases to existing budget.
